Michael Heuffner
Michael Heuffner (* 1483 in Eger, today Cheb ; † 1511 in Zwickau ) was a German sculptor and painter .
Michael Heuffner was a contemporary of Peter Breuer in Zwickau and probably his pupil. In 1507 he created the Holy Sepulcher in the St. Marien Church in Zwickau , an altar in Reinsdorf in 1510 and the winged altar in the Hospital Church in Hof in 1511 . Both the Holy Sepulcher and the Hofer winged altar are adorned with identical blue coats of arms of the artist with his golden initials . Between the two letters MH there is a golden Y-shaped ornament with three-leaf clover leaves at the ends. The four lime wood altar figures from the Reinsdorf Altar are on display in the Zwickau Municipal Museum .
