Michael Hierl

Michael Hierl (born September 25, 1868 in Oberschleißheim , † July 30, 1933 in Nuremberg ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

After attending elementary school (1874–1881) and Sunday school, Hierl learned the fine gold beating trade from 1882 to 1885 and practiced this profession until 1904. From 1904 to 1905 he was the managing director of the metal workers' association in Dresden.

From 1889 to 1892 Hierl belonged to the 13th Infantry Regiment in Ingolstadt.

Hierl worked for many years in the municipal administration of Schwabach: from 1905 to 1908 as a municipal representative, then until at least 1919 in the magistrate. From 1908 to 1918 Hierl sat as a member of the Bavarian state parliament and from 1912 to 1918 he was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Middle Franconia 3 (Ansbach-Schwabach).

From January 1919 to June 1920 Hierl was finally a member of the SPD for constituency 26 (administrative district of Upper, Middle and Lower Franconia) in the Weimar National Assembly .
