Michael Hoffmann (born April 23, 1975 in Copenhagen , Denmark ) is a Danish handball player . He is 1.86 m tall.

Hoffmann, who last played for the German club Eintracht Hildesheim (back number 7) and previously played for the Danish men's national handball team, is mostly used on the left wing .

Michael Hoffmann began playing handball at Virum-Sorgenfri HK , where he later made his debut in the Danish first division. In 1997 he won the Danish championship with the capitals. In 2001 he moved to the Helsinge team; In 2002 he went abroad for the first time, to CB Torrevieja. When the Spaniards had financial problems, however, Hoffmann moved on to LG Gaeta Serafina in Italy after only six months. In 2003 he was signed for one season by the German HSG Nordhorn ; in the summer of 2004 his contract was not renewed there. He then hired the Italian club Pallamano Conversano, where he won the Italian championship in 2006. At the beginning of 2007 he then returned to Germany to the relegation-threatened club Eintracht Hildesheim. There he actually got down, but extended his contract until 2010. After the 2013/14 season he left Hildesheim.

Michael Hoffmann has played 18 international matches for the Danish men's handball team in his career . Most of the time he was in the shadow of Lars Christiansen and Nikolaj Bredahl Jacobsen and did not take part in any major tournament.
