Career

As a player

Horvath started his career at the Federal Youth Center Burgenland. In the further course of his youth career he came to Germany for TSV 1860 Munich , from where he moved to the first team of SC Eisenstadt . After a relatively successful year in the capital of Burgenland, he moved to SV Pasching . In his first year he played in the Bundesliga right after the Paschinger rose. After three years in Upper Austria, he played for SC Untersiebenbrunn for one spring before returning to Pasching for another year. In 2005 he moved to Bundesliga club VfB Admira Wacker Mödling , with whom he was relegated. In 2007 he played for half a year at GAK , then returned to Admira and then moved to ASK Schwadorf , before returning to the second-named club after the merger between Schwadorf and Admira.

In July 2011, he had to end his professional career early due to cartilage damage at the age of 29.

As a trainer

After the end of his active career, he became an individual and later assistant coach of FC Admira Wacker Mödling for the 2013/14 season . In February 2020 he became head coach on an interim basis after Admira parted ways with Klaus Schmidt , but was never on the sidelines as a coach in any game.
