Michael Illbruck (* around 1965) is a German entrepreneur and sailing enthusiast .

The son of the German sailing pioneer Wilhelm Gustav Illbruck was a partner in the former Illbruck GmbH .

He won the Volvo Ocean Race as the first German participant in 2001/2002 with his boat of the same name, Illbruck , which was skipped by the American John Kostecki . With Tony Kolb, a German professional sailor as was bowman on board.

A planned participation in the America's Cup 2003 had to be canceled due to a lack of sponsorship funds.
