Michael Jaffé (* 1963 ) is a doctor of law, attorney and specialist lawyer specializing in insolvency law .

biography

After attending the Ludwigsgymnasium in Munich , he studied in Munich and Regensburg. In 1993 he founded the law firm Jaffé Rechtsanwälte Insolvenzverwalter in Munich , which is mainly active in the field of insolvency administration, insolvency law , procedural law and the related areas of law. In 2020, eight insolvency administrators were appointed at seven locations in four federal states.

He became known as the insolvency administrator of companies and groups such as KirchMedia , NICI , Knaus Tabbert , Grob Aerospace , Bergland Naturkäse GmbH , Stadtwerke Gera , P&R Group and the Qimonda . In 2020 he was commissioned by the Munich District Court to provide an expert opinion on the insolvency of Wirecard AG , and then appointed as insolvency administrator in August 2020.

In the 2006 summer semester, Jaffé was given a teaching position at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich on the subject of modern restructuring instruments in corporate insolvency , which has since been extended. In the 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 winter semesters, Jaffé also read the lecture on corporate insolvency law as a representative of Horst Eidenmüller on the basis of a further teaching assignment .

Jaffé is a member of the Insolvenzverwalter Deutschlands e. V. (VID), Gravenbrucher Kreis, Working Group on Insolvency Law of the German Lawyers' Association (DAV) and INSOL Europe.
