Michael Monroe , real name Matti Fagerholm , (born June 17, 1962 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish rock musician and is known as the singer of the Hanoi Rocks group . His trademarks are bleached hair, feminine makeup and fashionable outfits.

Live and act

Besides Hanoi Rocks, whose biggest hits were Tragedy , Up Around the Bend ( CCR Cover ), Don't You Ever Leave Me , Million Miles Away and People Like Me , Monroe is also active as a solo artist.

As a guest musician he was on the Guns n 'Roses records Use Your Illusion I and The Spaghetti Incident? to listen. He also played harmonica and saxophone on the album "Kylmä Maailma" by Finnish artist Mikko Herranen. He also played saxophone on the song "Like a Bee to the honey" by the band Lordi

He has a close friendship with the members of the American glam metal band Mötley Crüe . When Monroe went out with friends, he used to go to the ladies' room in order to be able to put on make-up in front of the mirror and to avoid men who often pestered him in the men's room because of his make-up and called him a fagot. Michael Monroe is not transsexual , he just likes to be glamorous.
