Neil Strauss (born March 9, 1969 ) is an American journalist and author who writes for the New York Times and Rolling Stone .

Life

In the German-speaking world he became known with his book The Perfect Mesh (original: The Game ), which deals with his experiences in the developing pickup community . In the community it is known as "Style".

The success of his book The Perfect Mesh , which is laid out as an autobiographical novel, increased his popularity and the number of requests for pickup coaching. As a consequence, Rules of the Game was published in 2007 (German “Der Aufreisser”, 2008), which is largely designed as a non-fiction book and promises the reader a 30-day program to develop into a so-called pickup artist.

For Rolling Stone he wrote stories about stars like Kurt Cobain , Madonna , Tom Cruise , Orlando Bloom , the Wu-Tang Clan , Gwen Stefani and Marilyn Manson .

He won the ASCAP Award for his reporting .
