Michael Muster

Michael Muster (* 1946 in Rostock ) is a German lawyer and politician . He is the founding chairman of The Blue Party, which was launched in 2017 and dissolved in 2019 .

Life

Michael Muster was head of department in the Saxon finance and justice ministries from 1991 to 2009. According to a report in the weekly newspaper Die Zeit, he was considered to be the AfD leader and confidante of the AfD founder and chairman Bernd Lucke . Michael Muster accompanied Konrad Adam in setting up the AfD-affiliated Desiderius Erasmus Foundation . Muster sits on the foundation board of the Kant Foundation established by Frauke Petry and Marcus Pretzell . Muster registered the trademark rights for the name "The Blue Party" before the 2017 federal election .

Michael Muster is married to Kirsten Muster , who has a doctorate in law . She sat in the Saxon state parliament until she switched to the Blue Party for the AfD . She resigned from the AfD and the AfD parliamentary group with chairwoman Frauke Petry. The couple live in Moritzburg and have two children.
