Kirsten Muster (born November 27, 1960 in Otterndorf ) is a German lawyer and politician ( non-party, previously The Blue Party and AfD ). She was a member of the Saxon state parliament from the state elections in Saxony in 2014 until the state elections in Saxony in 2019 .

Life

Muster passed her Abitur in 1979 in Otterndorf and studied law at the University of Kiel . She completed her legal traineeship at the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court . Pattern his doctorate in 1990 at the University of Kiel to Dr. iur. with the topic The Purification of the Evangelical Church in Baden 1945–1950 . After working with Eberhard Schmidt-Aßmann at the public law chair at Heidelberg University , she has been running her own law firm since 2003.

Her husband Michael Muster , also a lawyer, founder of the blue party and also previously an AfD member, was a department head in the Saxon Ministry of Finance and Justice . The couple live in Moritzburg and have two children.

Political commitment

Muster was elected to the state parliament on the state list of the AfD Saxony in the state elections in Saxony in 2014. On September 26, 2017, she left the AfD parliamentary group together with the then party and parliamentary group leader Frauke Petry and the parliamentary managing director Uwe Wurlitzer , but kept her mandate. On October 1, 2017, she left the AfD and joined The Blue Party .

She is (as of October 2017) a member of the following state parliament committees:

  • Electoral review committee
  • Constitutional and Legal Committee
  • Committee for Science and University, Culture and the Media

A renewed entry into the state parliament after the state elections in Saxony in 2019 on September 1, 2019 did not succeed.
