Artur Mann (born October 11, 1990 in Aktjubinsk , Kazakhstan ) is a German professional boxer and current WBO international cruiserweight champion .

His battle name is "Thunder". Man is currently boxing for Sauerland Event from Berlin . Its manager is Daniel Todorovic.

Artur Mann is married and has one son. He lives with his family in Hanover .

Amateur career

Artur Mann can look back on a successful amateur heavyweight career. In 2012 he achieved his first notable success by taking bronze at the German Championships in Oldenburg. In 2013 he achieved silver at the German Championships in Oldenburg and was accepted into the German national boxing squad. In the same year a bronze medal followed at the 40th Chemistry Cup, one of the most recognized international amateur boxing tournaments worldwide. In 2014 he again achieved silver at the German Championships in Straubing. He then became a tournament winner at an international boxing tournament in Russia. This was followed by the change to the professional cruiserweight division.

Professional career

After winning the boxing tournament in Russia, Mann switched to the pros in 2015. In the same year he played four professional fights, all of which he won early. In 2016, five more encounters followed, in which he remained undefeated. After he was victorious in his 10 boxing match in March 2017, he won in July 2017 against Leon Harth the vacant WBO World Championship at cruiserweight by majority decision. He closed the year in October with a points win over Frenchman Isossa Mondo. After he was able to celebrate his 13th victory in the 13th professional fight through TKO in the fourth round in April 2018 , he qualified for a GBU intercontinental title fight in his weight class . In this fight against Alexander Peil in June 2018, he also defended his previously won WBO world title by winning points. He played the next and last professional fight of 2018 for the first time outside of Germany in Chicago , USA , where he won the 15th boxing match of his professional career against Russian Alexey Zubov in November and thus remained unbeaten. In the 16th pro fight in March 2019 he boxes in Kempton Park , South Africa against Kevin Lerena to the IBO -Welttitel cruiserweight. However, Artur Mann lost the fight after being knocked out in the fourth round.
