Michael Obermoser (born November 29, 1967 in Radstadt ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and innkeeper. Obermoser is a member of the Salzburg state parliament .

education and profession

After his birth in Radtstadt, Obermoser's family moved to Wald im Pinzgau in 1969 . After compulsory school, Obermoser switched to the hotel management school in Zell am Ziller and in 1985 passed the license examination for gastronomy in Salzburg. After completing his military service, Obermoser spent two and a half years abroad, working on cruise ships, among other things. At the age of 22, Obermoser returned to Austria from London and took over a hotel in Königsleiten . He ran the business as an innkeeper and hotelier, first with his brothers and later with his wife.

politics

Obermoser has been a community representative in Wald im Pinzgau since 1995. In 1989 he became a member of the Wirtschaftsbund and was elected district chairman of the Wirtschaftsbund Pinzgau in June 2003 . Obermoser has been a member of the Salzburg state parliament since April 28, 2004, where he was the area spokesman for environmental and nature protection (environment, nature protection, noise protection, water) and the national park (national park center, international recognition). Obermoser is running in the state elections in 2009 in second place on the ÖVP regional constituency list Pinzgau.

Private

Obermoser has been married since 1993 and has two daughters. He has a twin brother.
