Michael Peinkofer (* 1969 ) is a German author , film journalist and translator.

Life

After studying German in Munich, with the minor subjects history and communication sciences, which he completed with a master's degree, he worked as a journalist and translator. So far, he has written around 180 novels in different literary genres under various pseudonyms . In 2004 he achieved his first bestseller with The Brotherhood of Runes . Other well-known works are his orc novels, which deal with Tolkien's creatures and his historical thrillers about Sarah Kincaid. In 2011 his 850-page crusade novel The Book of Ascalon was published . Under the pseudonym “Marc Van Allen” he wrote the trilogy Invisibilis (2007), Venatum (2008) and Caligo (2010). He is also - under the pseudonym "Michael J. Parrish" - the lead author of the Torn series .

Peinkofer lives with his family in Kempten .

Together with another partner, he runs Dreamagix Studios Leising and Peinkofer GbR in Kempten.
