Michael Spindler
Michael H. Spindler (born December 22, 1942 in Berlin ; † 2017 ) was a German manager .
Spindler studied electrical engineering. In the 1970s he headed the European marketing departments of DEC and Intel . In 1980 he moved to Apple , where he was initially responsible for Europe-wide and later for global marketing. In June 1993 he succeeded the previous Chief Executive Officer John Sculley . He was replaced by Gil Amelio in 1996 .
