Michael Stockhammer

Michael Stockhammer (born February 4,  1980 ) is a former German basketball player . The 1.93-meter-tall builder and winger played during his career, among others, for BCJ Hamburg in the basketball league .

career

Stockhammer comes from Hamburg and played for TSG Bergedorf before moving to the BCJ Hamburg in the basketball league in the 2000/01  season. For BCJ he played 18 Bundesliga games and ran for the club after relegation in the second division (2001/02).

In 2002 Stockhammer went to the United States to combine studies and competitive sports. He played at the College of the Siskiyous in the state of California until 2004 , followed by three years at California State University, Chico, where he stayed out during the 2004/05 season to heal an ankle injury. In 2007 he left the USA for Austria , where he played for the first division Basket Clubs Vienna in the 2007/08 season , and in the 2008/09 season he briefly strengthened TG Renesas Landshut in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB .

After his basketball career, Stockhammer became a teacher of English and sports in his hometown of Hamburg.
