Michael Stricharz
Michael Stricharz (born April 11, 1946 in Vienna ) is a German violinist and music teacher .
Life
Michael Stricharz, professor for violin at the Hamburg Conservatory - Academy of Music, was a student of the violin virtuoso Henryk Szeryng , long-time member of the orchestra of the Bayreuth Festival , Philharmonic State Orchestra - Hamburg State Opera and the Chamber Orchestra Solistes Européens Luxembourg and a full member of the International Royal Academy of Science, Fine Arts and Music of United Nations, New York, chairman and jury member of German and international music competitions.
Head of the Michael Stricharz competition for young musicians (violinists, pianists, cellists, violas, singers, string quartets), which took place 16 times in Ukraine and in the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is also an honorary member of the Richard Wagner Association in Lviv, Ukraine, and in the Polish Henryk Wieniawski Society, Lublin, Professor honoris causa at the State Academy for Music in Lviv, Ukraine and at the State Academy for Music in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor honoris causa of the State University of Music in Togliatti , Russia, and the State University in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan and Honorary President of the Lviv Chamber Orchestra, Ukraine.
