Michael Treier
Michael Treier is a German graduate psychologist . Since 2011 he has been a professor at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in North Rhine-Westphalia .
Life
Michael Treier trained as a nurse after graduating from high school and worked for some time in the healthcare sector. He then first studied business education and psychology with a focus on work and organizational psychology as well as educational psychology , and later organizational management at the universities of Wuppertal , Hagen and Bochum . In 1997 he became a research assistant at the University of Wuppertal, where he also received his doctorate in 2000.
Between 1996 and 2000 Michael Treier also worked as a freelancer in a management consultancy with a focus on quality management. In 2000 he moved as Head of Department of Economic Psychology to RAG Aktiengesellschaft , at the Institute of Industrial Science , he worked by 2007.
Between 2007 and 2011 Michael Treier held a professorship at the private University of Applied Sciences BiTS Iserlohn and headed the Bachelor's degree in Business Psychology . He continues to work at BiTS as a lecturer for business psychology and human resource management. In addition, he has been a lecturer at the University of Wuppertal since 2000 ; a position that he has meanwhile also held at the Ruhr University. At the same time, he continues to work in management consulting and gives seminars.
In the winter semester 2011/12 he took over a professorship for psychology and organizational theory at the Duisburg headquarters of the North Rhine-Westphalia University of Applied Sciences in Duisburg.
