Michael Wiederstein

Michael Wiederstein (* 1983 in Gummersbach ) is a German journalist and literary critic . From September 2016 to July 2019 he was editor-in-chief of the liberal magazine Schweizer Month .

Life

Michael Wiederstein studied German and general literature at the University of Siegen . In 2011 he became editor-in-chief of the newly founded literary magazine Literarischer Month as a literary supplement to the Swiss Month . He headed both magazines as editor-in-chief until the end of July 2019. He has been the Executive Editor at getAbstract since September 2019 .

As the initiator of the Treibhaus , a competition platform for literary beginners, he has been looking for undiscovered writing talents since 2012. He has also been a member of the jury for the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize since 2017 .
