Michael Wissemann

Michael Wissemann (* 1953 in Wuppertal ) is a German classical philologist .

Life

From 1972 he studied classical philology, Protestant theology and history for teaching at the universities of Bonn , Düsseldorf and Wuppertal. He received his doctorate in 1980. This was followed by a legal clerkship at high schools in Düsseldorf. From 1983 he was a university assistant at the Department of Classical Philology at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf . In 1989 he returned to teaching at grammar schools in Wuppertal and Bochum , where he worked until 2017. In 1989 the habilitation and the award of the venia legendi for philology and its didactics followed. On July 31, 2013, he was appointed adjunct professor.
