Michael Zandberg (born April 16, 1980 in Petach Tikwa ) is an Israeli soccer player .
Career
Zandberg began his career in Hapoel Ramat Gan's youth team . In 1998 he moved to the first team of Hapoel Petach Tikwa . In the first season he was sixth with the club. In the following season you could qualify with third place for the UI Cup . After two sixth places in 2000/01 and 2001/02, he moved to Maccabi Haifa in 2002 . In its first season, they were runner-up. In addition, Zandberg was allowed to play in the UEFA Champions League . They qualified for the group stage, where Manchester United , Olympiacos and Bayer 04 Leverkusen were the opponents. The midfielder was used in all games.
In 2003/04 Zandberg won his first championship title with Maccabi Haifa. This success was repeated in 2005 and 2006. After these three titles, he moved to Beitar Jerusalem in 2006 and celebrated his fourth league title in 2007, and in 2007 he was named Israel's Footballer of the Year. His fifth championship followed in 2008, with a win on penalties against Hapoel Tel Aviv , Zandberg also won the Israeli Cup for the first time in his career. After third place in 2008/09 and another cup win, he moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv. There he played a total of 14 games and scored two goals before moving to Bne Jehuda Tel Aviv after only six months .
He last played for Hapoel Ramat Gan in the Israeli 2nd division in the 2017/18 season .
For the Israeli national team Zandberg played 20 times and scored four goals.
