Michael Ziemons

Michael Ziemons (* 1976 in Aachen ) is a German educator.

Life

Ziemons studied educational sciences , psychology and catholic theology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster and graduated in 2002 as a qualified pedagogue. He was in 2009 on the subject at the University of Muenster education and counseling to Dr. phil. PhD. In 2009 Ziemons completed a master's degree in supervision / coaching.

In 2003 he became the education officer of the Mainz Diocesan Association of the German Scouting Association Saint Georg (DPSG) . From 2003 to 2006 he was advisor for youth policy at the Aachen Diocesan Association of the Federation of German Catholic Youth (BDKJ) .

From 2006 to 2010 he taught at the Catholic University of North Rhine-Westphalia (KatHO NRW) in Aachen . 2010 was made call to the professor for pedagogy at the KatHO NRW in Cologne . In 2008 he received the NRW Prize for Quality in University Teaching from the KatHO NRW.

Michael Ziemons has been working as a freelance coach / supervisor and trainer in professional development for many years. In 2011 he founded the Institute for Applied Research in Education and Consulting, which is based in Aachen. It deals with supervision, coaching, assessments and professional development.

In April 2019, Ziemons was elected Head of Social Affairs and Health for the Aachen city region .
