Michail Bezrodnyj ( Russian Михаил Владимирович Безродный / Michail Wladimirowitsch Besrodny ; born February 16, 1957 in Leningrad ) is a Russian-speaking literary scholar and writer .

biography

1974–1977 he studied at the University of Tartu . 1977–1979 he completed military service in the Transbaikal Military District. 1979–1991 he worked in the Russian National Library ( Leningrad ). In 1982 he completed his training at the State Pedagogical Heart Institute in Leningrad. In 1990 he defended his dissertation at the University of Tartu. In 1991 he emigrated. He was a scholarship holder of the German Research Foundation , Harvard University , the Estonian Foundation for the Semiotic Legacy, worked in the Berlin Center for Literary Research and at the Universities of Munich, Tübingen, Mannheim and Mainz. Since 2003 he has been teaching at the Slavic Institute at Heidelberg University .

Article (since 1977) on the history of literature ( Pushkin , Gogol , Vyacheslav Ivanov , Remisow , Blok , Andrei Bely , Tschukowski , Chodasewitsch , Pasternak , Mandelstam , Bulgakow , Tsvetaeva , Mayakovsky , Tynyanov , Nabokov etc.) and on the history of the book industry (for Publishing house “Musaget” and others); Translations from Estonian and German.
