Mikhail Vasilyevich Issakovsky
Mikhail Isakovsky ( Russian Михаил Васильевич Исаковский ; born January 7 . Jul / 19th January 1900 greg. In Glotowka in Smolensk ; † 20th July 1973 in Moscow ) was a Russian poet.
Mikhail Vasilyevich Issakovsky wrote communist stories, lyrics and poems extolling the politics of the Soviet Union. The most famous song he wrote is Katyusha , a Russian love song.
For his songs he received the Stalin Prize twice (1943 and 1949), four times an Order of Lenin , and in 1970 he was honored as a hero of socialist work .
In 1997 the asteroid (5091) Isakovskij was named after him.
