Michal Dočolomanský
Michal Dočolomanský (born March 25, 1942 in Niedzica , Poland , † August 26, 2008 in Bratislava ) was a Slovak film and theater actor. He was best known for his roles in movies from the 1970s and 1980s such as Adele has not yet had dinner , The three golden hairs of the Sun King , The Millennial Bee , The Secret of the Castle in the Carpathians or The Peacock Feather .
life and career
Dočolomanský was born as the son of a teacher working at a Slovak school in the small Polish town of Niedzica (then the First Slovak Republic ). The family later moved to Svätý Jur near Bratislava , where he spent his childhood. At the age of ten he discovered his passion for acting with a visit to a theater performance that never left him. Nevertheless, he initially completed an apprenticeship as a car mechanic, but then decided to study acting in Bratislava. While still a student he made his debut at the National Theater in Bratislava, where he got an engagement in 1964 after graduating . During his acting training, he also made his debut as a film actor in the comedy Ausflug auf der Donau in 1962 , followed by other film and television productions.
At the beginning of his film career he embodied mainly dramatic and psychological film roles, such as Stefan Padych in Martin Hollý's Die Sünde der Katarina Padychová . He also worked in some cinema productions in the Prague Barrandov studios, but mainly in national television productions.
Michal Dočolomanský died on August 26, 2008 in Bratislava at the age of 66.
