Michal Lasko (born March 11, 1981 in Wroclaw , Poland ) is an Italian volleyball player .

Career

Michal Lasko is the son of the Polish national player Lech Łasko , who became Olympic champion in Montreal in 1976 . He began his career in 1997 with the offspring of Sisley Treviso . In the 1999/2000 season he played for the first time in the first division and won both the Italian Cup and the Champions League with Treviso . In 2001 he became Italian champion. The diagonal attacker then moved to Marmi Lanza Verona . In Verona, he first had to play in the second division, but made promotion twice in 2002 and 2004. In 2005 Lasko made his debut in the Italian national team and became European champion with the team . He then spent a season with Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia before joining Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo . In 2008 he returned to Verona. In 2011 he reached the final of the European Championship with Italy . Then he went to his home country to the Polish first division club Jastrzębski Węgiel . In 2012 Lasko won the bronze medal with Italy at the Olympic Games in London .
