michason & may is an independent book publisher based in Frankfurt am Main , which publishes contemporary literature by German-speaking authors.
history
The publishing house was founded in 2010 in Frankfurt am Main, the same year the first program was presented at its own stand at the Frankfurt Book Fair . One of the first publishing titles was "Not to be captured!" of the journalist Dieter Mäder. The book is based on its eponymous series on radioBerlin 88.8 (rbb) and mixes the genre of stories with advice elements.
At the end of 2012, michason & may succeeded in asserting itself against several competitors and taking over the place in the event series Long Day of Books in the Frankfurter Schauspiel , which had become vacant after the Eichborn Verlag closed down .
program
The publisher claims to have a focused program that focuses on current novels and stories by German-speaking authors. As a result, there are no translations in the program, only original editions. The City Walking series has been supplementing the portfolio with literary city guides since 2013 .
