pain awake (blog)

In 2011, Plastargias dedicated a blog
post on pain-awake to the “ love locks ” on Frankfurt's Eiserner Steg

Plastargias uploaded the first post early in the morning on December 6th, 2009 in his blog painlessly awake (www.schmerzwach.blogspot.com) . It was a funny anecdote about his neighbor. More anecdotes from his life followed, as well as book and film reviews , which are still a focus today. The blog then increasingly developed into a literary and culture blog, but also became a medium in which Plastargias deals with gender issues and role models as well as with current urban issues. So he deals u. a. with the Occupy movement , the topic of “ gentrification ”, the life of the “new bohemians ” and the aftermath of the “old beat generation ”.

In the meantime, Plastargias reports in his blog about experiences in various scenes in Frankfurt, especially in the cultural and queer scene , as well as about his own experiments, projects and literary works, author readings, etc.

Plastargias often uses pictures and videos in his pain-awake blog, but the focus is on text contributions, occasionally also as guest contributions.

According to the company, the number of page impressions was more than 200,000 in mid-2012.
