Faust culture
Faust-Kultur is a network of authors and artists from Frankfurt am Main . In 2010 this resulted in the online magazine www.faustkultur.de , which works on a non-profit basis . The sponsor of the culture portal is the non-profit Faust Culture Foundation . Edition Faust was founded in 2014 . The topics of both the publisher and the culture website cover literature , art and music as well as social, philosophical and political controversies .
Online platform
The online culture magazine Faust-Kultur.de was founded in 2010 under the keyword wwweltbühne for authors and artists by Werner Ost, Ulla Bayerl, Andrea Pollmeier and Isa Bickmann in Frankfurt am Main. The site went online for the first time in September 2010. So far, over 3400 articles by more than 250 writers, artists and scientists have been published on Faust-Kultur. Literary and journalistic forms of representation are used in the online magazine. The different formats include stories , essays , notes , diary entries , poems , conversations with authors, artist portraits, selected book, film and music reviews as well as literary dictionary entries . In addition, videos and audio recordings of author and artist interviews, readings and performances are published. Faust culture is home to a number of thematic series, some of which differ greatly in terms of content and form. The focus is on a. The wrong way of philosophy , conversations with cultural workers, poetry readings, graphic novels and international voices e.g. B. from Syria and Haiti . Individual authors such as Jamal Tuschick , Alban Nikolai Herbst , Jürgen Werner , Thomas Rothschild , Philipp Mosetter and the editors of the literary magazine OTIUM publish regularly in their own columns. Edition Faust
The publisher Edition of thumb is 2014 in cooperation with Galerie Art Virus Ltd. emerged and has established itself as an independent publisher. Werner Ost is the publishing director. The publishing team consists of Ulla Bayerl, Bernd Leukert and Michele Sciurba. Every six months, around 10 titles from the areas of fiction and narrative non-fiction are published there. Including graphic novels, volumes of poetry and a series on the life and work of Hermann Hesse . Some of the focal points of the website are continued in the publisher's program. In 2014 the volume Interior Views from Syria with texts, photographs and pictures by Syrian artists was published. The publisher has published works by Otto A.
