Otto A. Böhmer

Otto A. Böhmer (born February 10, 1949 in Rothenburg ob der Tauber ) is a German writer.

Life

Böhmer grew up in Warendorf in the Münsterland and studied philosophy, political science, sociology and literature at the universities of Münster and Freiburg im Breisgau . He did his doctorate on Johann Gottlieb Fichte and worked from 1977 to 1986 as a lecturer for several publishers (including Brockhaus ).

He lives as a freelance writer, translator, radio writer, filmmaker and literary critic in Wöllstadt / Wetterau.

Böhmer is a member of the PEN Center Germany .
