traffic
The B 3 runs through both districts . For decades, residents have been struggling to bypass the area because the noise and pollution levels are very high in both districts. In November 2012, construction of the approximately seven-kilometer-long B 3a road began. Coming from the north, the bypass runs east of Ober-Wöllstadt, then crosses the B 3 (old) between the two districts and swings west past Nieder-Wöllstadt onto the B 3 towards Karben. In addition, the B 45 east of Nieder-Wöllstadt will be connected to the new B3a to the north, so that the total length of the new roads will be around nine kilometers. A total of 10 bridge structures are required for the project. The traffic handover of the B 3 new was carried out by the developer Hessen Mobil in August 2017, with the exception of some remaining work. Nieder-Wöllstadt has an S-Bahn station (line S6) on the Main-Weser-Bahn to Frankfurt am Main and Friedberg . There are also bus connections to Friedberg, Bad Nauheim and Niddatal.
