Jamal Tuschick
Jamal Tuschick (born February 10, 1961 in Kassel is a German writer , journalist and literary critic . Most of his novels are set in Frankfurt am Main and Kassel.
Life
In 1987 Jamal Tuschick came to Frankfurt am Main as the third factory clerk at the Frankfurt Novel Factory , after Peter Kurzck and Claudia Keller . In Frankfurt he worked both as a journalist and as a writer. He initially wrote for the daily newspaper , the Junge Welt and the Frankfurter Rundschau . In 2000 he published Morgen Land Latest German Literature by authors with a migration background .
In 2008, he wrote Die Zwillinge or The Attempt to Kiss Money and Spirit in the author collective with Jutta Winkelmann and Gisela Getty .
Jamal Tuschick has been heading the “prose writing room” at the Frankfurt Literaturhaus since 2011. In 2014, along with Silke Scheuermann , Matthias Göritz , Alina Bronsky , Annika Scheffel and Andreas Maier, he was a participant in the "Heimspiel im Literaturland Hessen" (home game in the literary land of Hesse) on the radio cultural broadcaster HR 2. Jamal Tuschick's early prose volumes like First Attempt at Jetlage offered sketches of urban life in the city of Frankfurt. As editor of the volume Morgen Land.
