Michel Drach (born October 18, 1930 in Paris , † February 14, 1990 in Neuilly-sur-Seine ) was a French film director , screenwriter and film producer .

The son of a diamond dealer attended the Académie des Beaux-Arts shortly after the end of the Second World War and began to work as a painter. As an assistant director to his cousin, the director Jean-Pierre Melville , he found his way into film and directed his first short films in the early 1950s.
