Michel Hammer

Michel Hammer (* 1939 ) is a historian .

Hammer received his doctorate in 1972 from the University of Geneva with a thesis on the Three Emperor Agreement . From 1982 he was a lecturer and finally professor for international relations at the Geneva University Institute for International Studies (IUHEI). Hammer was visiting professor at Peking University and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences . He deals with contemporary China and Russia as well as questions of the theory of science.
