Michel Kassarji

Michel Kassarji (born June 1, 1956 in Zahlé ) is a Lebanese priest and Bishop of Beirut .

Life

Michel Kassarji was ordained a priest on May 6, 1985 . Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Beirut on January 12, 2001 .

He was ordained bishop by the Patriarch of Babylon , Raphael I. Bidawid , on March 10 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Antoine Audo SJ , Bishop of Aleppo , and Georges Scandar , Bishop of Zahlé .
