Michel Lesage

Michel Lesage (born June 2, 1952 in Cherbourg ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2012 .

Lesage studied economics in Rennes and earned a doctorate in this subject. After completing his studies, he worked as a parliamentary assistant from 1980 to 1986 . He then worked in the social housing office in Saint-Brieuc . Lesage's political career began with joining the Parti socialiste in 1977 and joining the Langueux council in the same year. In 1982 he was appointed to the General Council of the Côtes-d'Armor department and in 1989 he was elected mayor of Langueux. From 2008 to 2012 he was also President of the former Communauté d'agglomération de Saint-Brieuc . In the parliamentary elections in 2012 , he entered the first constituency of Côtes-d'Armor and was elected to the National Assembly.
