Michel Sprunger (born April 30, 1985 ) is a Swiss - Italian football player . Sprungers played during his professional football career with Concordia Basel and FC Winterthur .

Private

Michel Sprunger grew up as the son of the show jumper Hansueli Sprunger , who used to play football in the 2nd division, and the riding instructor Dominique Sprunger-Torsi. His uncle Christian Sprunger played in the BSC Young Boys in the National League A . His sister is the show jumper Janika Sprunger .

Career

Michel Sprunger went through the juniors at the clubs FC Bubendorf, Concordia Basel and most recently from 2001 at FC Basel . He made 14 appearances in the Swiss U20 national team.

In the summer of 2005 he moved from the U21 team of FC Basel to the 1st team at Concordia Basel, where he played until 2008. He then moved to Eulachstadt for FC Winterthur . During his five years in Winterthur, he was repeatedly thrown back by injuries and in five years he only had twelve missions over 90 minutes. In the summer of 2013 he ended his professional career and moved back to the canton of Basel-Land and played one season for SC Dornach .
