Michela Belmonte

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Michela Belmonte (actually Michela Beomonte ; born October 30, 1925 in Padua , † July 1978 in Alicante , Spain ) was an Italian actress .

Life

Belmonte, the younger sister of the successful actress Maria Denis , attended art high school and had a short film career in 1942 and 1943, which remained without much recognition. The elegant, cute, and a little cool-looking actress made her debut in a downright male film, Roberto Rossellini's Un pilota ritorna , which didn't give her much opportunity to play, but enough to attract attention. In Mario Mattòlis I tre aquilotti she was the reserved fiancée of an air force cadet , in Il nostro prossimo she embodied the beloved typical of the comedies of the time and played alongside theater greats such as Antonio Gandusio , Rina Morelli and Paolo Stoppa .

After these three appearances, Belmonte ended - for an unknown reason - her acting career. Later she is said to have turned to archeology and published about it, which cannot be confirmed.
