Michele Borba

Michele Borba (* around 1952) is an American psychologist and educationalist who became known for the publication of educational books and parenting guides. She is considered an expert in the areas of parenting , character education and bullying .

Life

Borba at the Santa Clara University a bachelor's (1972) and master's degree (1975) in the subject Learning Disabilities and the University of San Francisco a Ph.D. Degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling . As a school teacher , she has worked with both ordinary and disabled, learning disabled, emotionally disturbed and behavioral students. She has also dealt with the latter as a resident therapist with her own practice.

Borba has published more than 20 books, some of which have gained international circulation. German translations are not yet available. As an education expert, Borba has a strong media presence in the US and has appeared more than 100 times in the NBC morning magazine Today alone . She speaks as an expert in the documentary Bullied to Silence (2012) and worked as a consultant on the production of the documentary The Bully Project (2012). On the basis of a proposal drawn up by Borba ( Ending School Violence and Student Bullying , SB1667), the California Congress passed an anti-bullying law for schools in 2002.

Borba has three grown sons and lives in Palms Springs with her husband .
