Mickey the Construction Worker is a 1933 American animated short film directed by David Hand .

Mickey Mouse works as an excavator driver on a large construction site, the manager of which is Kater Karlo. At lunchtime, Minnie appears with her mobile lunch box cart, which is pulled by Pluto. She sells the lunches on the construction site and Micky can't take his eyes off her as he drives wheelbarrows full of bricks and other things on the beams and scaffolding of the construction site. Again and again things fall down on him, which usually break through to Karlo's blueprint, or he saws boards on which he is sitting. Luckily the midday siren sounds when he fails the tomcat Carlo's blueprint and is severely strangled by him.
Micky has a roll with fish with him, but the tomcat Karlo steals it by pulling the rope. When Minnie offers Micky one of her lunch boxes, she is caught with the rope pull by the tomcat Karlo and lifted up. Micky rushes to her rescue, but is cornered by the cat Karlo and Minnie's only rescued through a courageous intervention. When both mice flee from the cat, Micky yells afterwards that he has been released. Minnie and Micky can now run the lunch box service together.
