geography
Micoud is located in the southern part of the east coast of St. Lucia, in the protection of a bay that is protected from the waves of the Atlantic by the headland L'Anse Captain and is divided into three further subdivisions by rock ridges. The Vollet River flows into the northernmost of these small bays , right on the border with the Praslin Quarter to the north . The southern boundary of the settlement is roughly formed by the Troumassee River , which flows south of L'Anse Captain into Troumassee Bay . The Castries-Vieux Fort-Highway (Micoud Highway), which roughly follows the course of the coast, connects Micoud with Monrepos in Praslin in the north and with Desruisseaux in the south. South of the mouth of the Troumassee River branches off the only road that leads west to Anbre .
Directly above the main beach of Micoud is the Catholic St. Lucy Roman Catholic Church , which also includes the St. Lucy Micoud Cemetery next door. There is also a Ebenezer Seventh Day Adventists Church and a Pentecostal Church, right next to the Micoud Secondary School .
