The Midlands Road is an important connecting road in the southwest of the Australian state of Western Australia . It connects the Great Northern Highway in Walebing with the Brand Highway east of Dongara .

The trunk road branches off in Walebing from the Great Northern Highway (N95) to the west. After 22 km she reaches the town of Moora , where she turns north and takes the designation State Road 116 from the Bindoon Moora Road (S116) coming from the south . It crosses the Moore River and follows its tributary Cooderoo River north.

From Marchagee , where the Midlands Road turns northwest, it passes through an area with many salt lakes , such as B. the Yarra Yarra Lakes near Three Springs . At Mingenew it turns west, crosses the Irwin River and reaches the Brand Highway (R1) about 10 km east of Dongara.
