Midtra Rotøyna is an island at the southern end of the Hjeltefjord in Askøy municipality in the Norwegian province of Vestland .
It lies between the northern island of Nordra Rotøyna and the southern island of Søra Rotøyna . Purkholmen is to the northeast and Kristofferholmen to the east .
The uninhabited rocky island extends from west to east for about 600 meters with a width of up to 350 meters. It reaches a height of up to 36 meters. There are two small lakes on the island and a watercourse that drains from the center of the island to the east.
South of the island, a ship anchor from the 19th century was found underwater and is considered a protected archaeological site.
