description

The two-storey rental villa , which is now a listed building, has an asymmetrical elevation and stands on a broken stone base and has a flattened, slate-covered hip roof .

In the street view on the left there is a side elevation with a sprinkling gable . In the south-facing right side view, too, there is an almost identical risalit, this time on the right-hand side. In the left side view there is a veranda with an exit on top.

The plaster facade is structured by plaster strips and corner pilasters , while the sandstone windows are adorned with different roofs and stucco decorations. “Many original components [could] be preserved. Anything missing was added using traditional building materials. ”“ The delicate coloring is particularly noteworthy. The light reddish color of the facade contrasts well with the fine gray tones of the structural elements and the reddish brown of the granite base. Most of the historic box windows have been preserved and have been refurbished. "

The enclosure is a lancet fence with sandstone pillars.

history

The rental villa was built in 1898 by the client and contractor Ferdinand Luther from Serkowitz .

The aim of the self-directed renovation in 1998/1999 was the "restoration of an old state that is in keeping with the historic monuments". The result "was a successful reconstruction with loving details that corresponded to the findings"; “The house and property form an attractive ensemble and look exemplary in the street, which is characterized by similar villas.” For this, the client was awarded the 1999 builder prize of the city of Radebeul in the monument renovation category.
