description

The residential building, which is now a listed building, mentioned in the monument list as a rental villa , corresponds to the neighboring house at Weintraubenstrasse 4, which is typified as a country house-like villa in the monument topography . The two-storey building has asymmetrical floor plans and elevations. The roof is tiled.

In the main view of the street there is a rafter gable on the right; the same can be found in the two side views. Facing the street on the left is a single-storey wooden veranda in front of the rear.

The plastered building is framed by corner blocks. The windows are vaulted with brick arches.

history

In July 1901 the building contractor Bruno Mager applied for the construction of the house as "builder, executor and site manager". The building inspection took place in September 1902. Between June 1903 and October 1904 Mager built a country house-like villa of the same type on the neighboring property at Weintraubenstrasse 4.

From 1903 at the latest, the house belonged to the retired Major General Ludwig von Lossow . Although he died at the end of 1904, his relatives still lived in the house in 1944; in 1944 Colonel a. D. Ivan von Mackensen rented.
