The Mifroma SA based in Ursy is the cheese processing specialized Swiss companies. As a subsidiary of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives, it buys the cheeses from contract producers in Switzerland and abroad and then takes care of their storage and processing. The most important cheeses include Gruyere , Emmental , Parmesan and raclette .

The company was founded in 1964 by Pierre Arnold and Jean Pasquier as a cheese company to refine Gruyère. Mifroma later gradually took over the regional cheese processing of Migros. Since 2003 Mifroma has been responsible for the entire range of Migros cheeses. This includes cheese for both the retail and wholesale trade . Via its French subsidiary Mifroma France SA , which has existed since 1993, it also exports to the European Union and overseas. The subsidiary Mifroma USA for exports to the United States has existed since 2010 .

Mifroma employs around 220 people and in 2008 generated sales of 355.3 million Swiss francs.
