Miguel Ramos (born September 26, 1971 in Porto ) is a Portuguese racing car driver .

Career in motorsport

Miguel Ramos came to touring car racing through autocross . From the age of 18 he drove with autocross vehicles for three years and won two national championships. In 1993 he began touring car racing in the Portuguese BMW Trophy , where he was the overall winner in 1996. The success led to a long-term contract with the Portuguese BMW general importer, who had a racing team. After finishing third in the domestic touring car championship, he switched to the Italian super touring car championship in 1998.

After a year in monoposto racing , where he competed in the newly created Spanish Formula 3 championship , he won the overall ranking of the Spanish GT championship in 2012. In the following years he competed in both the Spanish and the Italian GT championship, where he won the overall standings in a Ferrari 550 GTS Maranello of BMS Scuderia Italia in 2005, and drove in the FIA GT championship and the European Le Mans Series . He contested the Le Mans 24-hour race twice, in 2002 and 2005 .

After another overall victory in the Spanish GT Championship in 2013, he won the GT3 classification of the International GT Open in 2015 .
