Mihaela Loghin (born June 1, 1952 in Roman ) is a former Romanian world-class shot putter.

Loghin set 14 Romanian records. She was eighth at the 1982 European Athletics Championships , fourth at the 1983 European Indoor Championships and fifth at the 1984 European Indoor Championships .

On June 30, 1984, she increased her personal best of 19.85 m in Formia , achieved in 1983 in Helsinki at the World Championships , with which she was sixth, to 21.00 m, so that she moved up to the closest favorite circle of the Summer Olympics , the in July / August of the same year in Los Angeles. In the final Olympic battle, however, she remained 1 cm behind Claudia Losch with 20.47 m ; so she got the silver medal ahead of the Australian Gael Martin .

1985 Loghin was fifth at the European Indoor Championships . Another notable international placement is Loghin's third place behind Heidi Krieger and Claudia Losch at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1986, which were held in Madrid . At the European Championships in Stuttgart in the same year, she was eighth. In 1987 she was seventh at the World Indoor Championships .
