Mike Ellis (athlete)
Mike Ellis (actually Michael John Ellis ; born September 3, 1936 in Bloomsbury , London Borough of Camden ) is a former British hammer thrower .
In 1958 he was ninth at the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm and won for England starting at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff .
At the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, he came in 15th place.
From 1957 to 1960 he was English champion four times in a row. He set his personal best of 64.95 m on June 4, 1959 in Loughborough .
