Mike Hartmann (monument conservator)

Mike Hartmann (* 1966 ) is a German preservationist , author and administrator. On November 5, 2009, he was awarded the Federal Republic of Germany's Medal of Merit for his many years of voluntary work .

Mike Hartmann already dealt intensively with natural and local history in his school days. Hartmann, who learned to be a forestry worker, has been working as a volunteer conservationist in the district and district of Demmin since 1981 . In this function, he secured valuable weapons and tool finds, among other things. Since the 1990s he has been working in the environmental department of the Demmin district in the field of nature conservation and landscape management.

He published various writings and essays on regional prehistory and early history. Mike Hartmann is a member of the Gesellschaft für Geschiebekunde and a founding member of the Archaeological Society of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
