Mike Park (born November 11, 1969 ) is a Korean-American singer and songwriter .

His previous career began in the fall of 1985 in his first band, Psychiatric Disorder . However, he left this band pretty quickly and subsequently played for The Chinkees , The Bruce Lee Band and the Skankin 'Pickles , where he was a singer and saxophonist . He also carried out several solo projects under his own name. Park released a total of five albums with the Skankin 'Pickles and played in over 14 countries in America, Canada, Asia and Europe.

After the breakup of the Skankin 'Pickles, he formed the ska and punk label Asian Man Records in 1996 . This developed from his do-it-yourself label, which the three of them had been running from his parents' garage since 1989, which was only equipped with a telephone, a fax and two computers. In the beginning he was particularly committed to bands like Less Than Jake , Alkaline Trio and The Lawrence Arms . Park himself supports any band as long as they are "anti-racist, anti-sexist and without prejudice". Asian Man Records supports over 50 bands to date.

In November 2003, Park released his first solo album, For the Love of Music . Two years later his last acoustic solo album North Hangook Falling was released .

In his songs, Mike Park deals primarily with politics, racism and war. In 1999 he founded the Plea for Peace Foundation , based in San José , California .
